How Content Synergy Pricing Works
Pricing Based on Your SAP Environment and Archive Volume
Content Synergy licensing is designed around the factors that most directly affect an enterprise SAP document archiving deployment:
SAP Production Systems + Non-Production Systems + Annual Archive Operations
This means organizations can select a plan based on their actual SAP landscape and expected document archiving volume.
Production SAP Systems
A production SAP system is an SAP environment used for live business operations. The number of production SAP systems included in each plan determines the licensed production capacity.
Non-Production SAP Systems
Non-production environments can include: Development | QA | Testing | Sandbox | Training Each Content Synergy plan includes a defined number of non-production SAP environments.
Archive Operations
An archive operation refers to a document that is successfully stored through the Content Synergy archiving process. Archive operations are measured annually according to the selected pricing plan. Document retrievals are not counted as archive operations.
No Per-User Licensing
License Your SAP Environment - Not Your Users
Content Synergy does not use a traditional per-user licensing model.
Pricing is primarily based on:
- Number of production SAP systems
- Number of included non-production SAP systems
- Annual archive operations
This allows organizations to support SAP users across the enterprise without licensing costs increasing simply because more users access archived content.

What Is Not Included?
The Content Synergy license does not include third-party infrastructure, storage, or platform licensing costs.
Depending on your selected content repository and architecture, additional costs may include:
- Azure infrastructure
- Azure Blob Storage charges
- Storage redundancy
- Storage transactions
- Network or data-transfer charges
- Microsoft 365 / SharePoint licensing
- AWS infrastructure
- Amazon S3 charges
- Other third-party platform or infrastructure costs
These costs are managed separately by the customer and are not included in the Content Synergy subscription price.
